Being a holiday carer is great because you get to look after a puppy-in-training while their nominated carer goes to a wedding, attends an event or has a holiday. I love looking after ‘Bosco’, he has a cheeky nature (he sometimes even sits with his paws crossed!), yet is very clever, loves to visit shops… Due to ex tropical cyclone Debbie the farm was unable to celebrate break up day but today we got to celebrate breakup day by going to the Movies in Nambour (Majestic Cinema). We saw the Lego Batman movie and then went and had lunch at the Compass Connections Cafe in Nambour .

When we were first looking at options for Nienna after finishing at Special School, the most important thing for us was finding somewhere that would help her work towards more independence. It’s a smile we all love – not just Compass staff, but also, pretty much every visitor that comes to Compass Farm knows Caitlin, as she’s often the first to greet them and make them feel welcome with her big and vibrant personality. He has gained more confidence and become more adaptable to ever-changing situations. He has connected with his peers and trainers and become quite a happy young man.
